Character Dining

Magic Kingdom:

Be Our Guest.

This is one of my absolute faves! The food is good, the decor is amazing, you can eat in the West Wing (would not recommend for small children unless they are not scared of darkness or lightning) the ballroom and the library. You can try the “grey stuff” cupcakes and they are so good! You can use a table service and eat here for dinner and meet the Beast OR if you don’t care about meeting him you can just use a counter service and eat here for breakfast or lunch. All reservations including counter service require a reservation.

Cinderella’s Royal Table:

Beautiful restaurant! Decorated for royalty and located INSIDE Cinderella castle it’s truly amazing! You meet Cinderella when you enter and then many more princesses come around to your table to talk and take pictures. Girls will even get a wand. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, this does require TWO table service credits. (If you are looking for a similar princess experience I would recommend Akershus in Epcot)

Crystal Palace:

You can have breakfast, lunch or dinner buffet with Pooh and friends and this restaurant is really light and beautiful! Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore come to your table and spend a lot of time hugging and getting pictures. Very fun!

Epcot:

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.

I love this place! You get to meet so many princesses and it’s only one table service credit. When you come in you get to meet Belle. After you are seated all the princesses come to your table for chatting and pictures, plus there is a fun procession around the room with the princesses.  I have been for breakfast and it was great! There was an appetizer buffet that was cold meat and cheese, croissants, pastries, etc… then they brought all you could eat family style food to your table of eggs, potatoes, bacon, and sausage. If you go for lunch or dinner you get the same buffet but order a Norwegian inspired entree. I highly recommend this one. We’ve done Cinderella’s Royal Table and it was great too but we actually preferred Akershus.

The Garden Grill

Meet Chip and Dale and other Mickey pals here. Breakfast and dinner are served family style in a restaurant that slowly rotates through a rain forest, farmhouse, thunderstorm, sandstorm and prairie.

Animal Kingdom:

Tusker House.

Buffet style food served in a Harambe style market setting. Meet safari dressed Donald and pals here (usually Donald, Daisy, Pluto, MIckey, Minnie) The food here is really good and it’s very pretty. Tons of food choices for picky eaters and the characters spend a lot of time with you. There aren’t very many table service restaurants in the Animal Kingdom, this is definitely one of the best choices.

Rainforest Cafe

Not a character meal but I’ve eaten here many times and my kids love it. It’s decorated so crazy amazing, the whole ceiling and walls are covered with branches and leaves and there are animatronic animals all over and live fish. There is a “thunderstorm” every 15 minutes and the animals all make sounds and move. There are a ton of food choices to choose from and we have always liked the food.

Hollywood Studios:

Hollywood and Vine Minnie’s Seasonal Dining

Have dinner with Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy at this buffet restaurant. They have parties for Halloween and the characters spend a lot of time at your table. Very cute place to eat dinner.

Resorts:

1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian Hotel

Have breakfast buffet with Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter, Winnie the Pooh and more.  Have dinner with Cinderella, Prince Charming, and evil step sisters. All meals are buffet style with lots of kid friendly choices. Step sisters are very hilarious, always a favorite for guests. This hotel is very beautiful and on the monorail.

Cape May Cafe at Beach Club Resort

Breakfast buffet with Minnie and friends dressed in beach wear. Guest favorite Mickey waffles and traditional breakfast foods.

Chef Mickey in the Contemporary Resort

Breakfast, lunch or dinner buffet with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald Duck.  Very cool themed and you can see the monorail going through the hotel.  Characters spend a lot of time at your table for talking and pictures and there is dancing and napkin waving periodically. Very fun!

Ohana at the Polynesian Resort

Breakfast family style with Stitch and Lilo.  Lots of kid friendly items on the buffet like eggs, potatoes, sausages, and pastries that are all you care to eat. They sing and come around for chatting and pictures.

Dinner Shows: These do require 2 table service credits.

Mickey’s Backyard BBQ

All you care to eat BBQ feast which features music, dancing, cowboy tricks and meeting with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip n Dale and more.

Spirit of Aloha dinner show

Served family style, all you care to eat. They serve bread, pork, ribs, chicken, veggies, and salad with pineapple cake for dessert.  Fire dancing (with some pretty darn attractive men!) and a hula show, this one is really fun!

Hoop De Doo Review

All you can eat, family style BBQ food and dessert. Unlimited beer, wine, and sangria. This is a sing a long wild west, good time show.
